Perlatino of Sicily

Perlatino of Sicily

DESCRIPTION

The Perlatino di Sicilia Marble is a calcareous breccia with lithological characteristics similar to the PERLATO SICILIA in which the pigmentation due to the fossil fragments is less frequent or more contained than the Perlato di Sicilia marble. These characteristics of less frequent fossils call it the material.
The quarries of Perlatino are located in the marble basin of Custonaci about 80 km from the SOFIL Lo Bianco Marmi factory
The Perlatino di Sicilia Marble, due to its morphological characteristics, lends itself to the use of contemporary architectural works such as the Copenhagen Operahouse, where Sofil supplied approximately sqm. 8,000 in various sizes and formats both for the interior flooring of the foyers and for the stairs and for the bathrooms, up to the outdoor terrace, cm. 4 of thickness for that installed with floating system, reflecting the robustness of the material.
